About
Well, this is The Bott Blog — a place where Dave, Joyce, Lindsay & Jessica can post their thoughts. Of course, you can still check out our primary website at www.bott.ca, but this is a little experiment that I’m hosting on my Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ RND-4250.

This little NAS is the coolest device ever:
- Mass network attached storage with X-RAID technology
- Gigabit ethernet
- 4 hot-swappable drives
- Up to 64 TB storage
- CIFS/SMB, AFP, NFS, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS and SSH access
- Bittorrent client
- ReadyNAS Photo server
- Web server & WordPress blog
- 5 Year Warranty
- And the best online support forums!
You’ll have to forgive the overall speed of this site for a couple of reasons:
- I’m hosting it at home on my DSL connection (5 Mbps down / 768 Kbps up)
- The ReadyNAS does more than just host this blog. It’s regularly serving up media files, running Bittorrent, backing up data and all sorts of useful things.
Okay… enough rambling.
